Lightning Protection Design for All Railway Facilities Across the World

Lightning strikes can damage rail infrastructure and create major network issues. . Highly sensitive electronic systems as found within the transportation network and these are extremely vulnerable to lightning strikes and other   electromagnetic interference . Damage caused to them can interrupt operations and incur huge losses. Surges occur in the form of direct lightning hits, but they also can be induced when overhead high-voltage transmission lines are struck by lightning. Direct strikes usually damage equipment, while nearby strikes cause damage by induction. Because weather is so unpredictable, railway facilities must employ an LPS that can undo Mother Nature’s wrath. It requires a lightning protection design system which can: ·   Reduce downtime ·   Protect records, assets, facilities and equipment ·    Provide a safe working environment for personnel ·    Reduce the vulnerability of interdependent infrastructure ·    Provide uninterrupted protection against lightning strikes
